The “Biomimicry – the science inspired by nature” gallery was inaugurated by Prof. Santanu Bhattacharya,Director of the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Tirupati, on January 26, 2026 at the Regional Science Centre, Tirupati. The gallery highlights the idea that nature is the ultimate engineer, demonstrating how observing biological systems can inspire the development of sustainable technologies that work in harmony with our planet. Every species in our forests holds a lesson in efficiency, and the gallery encourages visitors to value biodiversity not only for its beauty, but also for its remarkable ingenuity. As a significant addition to the centre’s science education mission, the gallery is designed to make complex scientific concepts engaging and accessible for younger generations.
